Life in Black, White, and… Wood
For designer Hadas Dilharosa, every kitchen tells a story. When she envisioned this space, she imagined a balance of calm white, deep black, and warm wood, creating a serene, timeless environment meant to inspire both in everyday moments and special occasions.
“I wanted a surface that could speak for itself, connecting the white and wood tones in a unified visual language,” Hadas explains. She sought a material that wasn’t merely decorative but would integrate naturally into the kitchen, adding both modernity and simplicity. After exploring several options, she discovered Ascale’s Laurent Black porcelain, and immediately knew it was the missing piece.
The Laurent Black, with its deep background and subtle veining, added an elegant contrast without overwhelming the surrounding wood and white elements. This matte-finish model held a sophisticated aura, fitting seamlessly with the natural wood cabinetry Hadas had selected. The result was a kitchen where every element felt naturally connected—a space where the texture of the wood and the soft matte finish of the Laurent Black complemented each other, creating perfect harmony.
“Laurent Black brought a special energy to the kitchen—that sense of depth that only certain materials achieve,” Hadas explains. “This matte finish alongside the wood created a visual balance that keeps the space contemporary yet always welcoming.”
For Hadas, choosing each surface is almost like painting a picture; every material, color, and texture must serve a purpose. In this kitchen, Ascale’s Laurent Black wasn’t just an aesthetic choice but a decision made to enrich the daily experience of those who live there, transforming the kitchen into a space where functionality and beauty meet in perfect harmony.

Ceramic, porcelain, glass, and natural stone coverings are ideal for their durability and ease of cleaning.
Consider materials such as quartz, granite, or marble, which offer resistance, durability, and an elegant aesthetic finish.
They are more affordable, lighter, easier to install and maintain, with a very similar appearance to natural marble.
